FAQs

We provide tutoring and test preparation, using qualified tutors with outstanding credentials in the content areas, to students ages 15-18 (grades 9-12), and adults.

We provide a 60-minute block of instruction for academics and a 60-minute block of instruction for test prep. However, additional hours can be requested, if necessary.

 

Our hours of operation are weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Instruction for the Academic Prep sessions will target student needs based on a diagnostic assessment. This data will inform instructional practices to target the student's strengths and weaknesses to ensure mastery of the topic/subject.

Test Prep sessions will include a mock assessment to identify the student's strengths and weaknesses as well as instructional videos, test strategies, practice tests and explanations, quizzes, and full-length practice exams.

Exam preparation: SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test); ACT (American College Test); and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

 

Mathematics: Integrated algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus

 

English: Reading, writing, speaking, and listening

Laptops are required for those registered for online tutoring. Although paper-based assignments will be provided, students are required to purchase test prep books for SAT, ACT, and/or TOEFL.

We will, strategically, match tutors with students with the goal of increasing academic outcomes and passing percentages.
